ITEC Courses for 2019/2020 (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme)

ITEC COURSES 

The Government of India is offering short-term coures under the ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme) which is a fully funded bilateral programme of assistance through training courses in the premier training institutes of India. Professionals from developing countries are offered unique training courses at different centres of excellence in India, which imparts not just professional skills but prepares them for an increasingly automated world.

Only those applicants between the ages of 25 to 45 with knowledge of English language and those who have not availed ITEC scholarship earlier are eligible to apply. The training programme is demand-driven and subjects selected are of interest to developing countries for their working professionals on a wide and diverse range of skills and disciplines.

The level of courses range from introductory to advanced level. Courses are offered in 7 broad categories namely:

1. Accounts, Audit, Banking and Finance Courses;

2. IT, Telecommunication and English Courses;

3. Management Courses;

4. SME/Rural Development Courses;

5. Specialised Courses;

6. Technical Courses; and

7. Environmental and Renewable Energy Courses

The cost of the airfare, accommodation and living allowance for selected participants would be borne by Government of India. Details of the programmes, brochures of the various courses, their eligibility criteria and application form are enclosed within. Completed applications should be submitted to the Consulate General of India, Durban at least three months in advance before the commencement date of the training programmes.
